General services for youth 0 to 17 and their families

Programs included in this service are available to all families, throughout the growth of their children. They cover a variety of themes and are administered either at home, or in the schools operating within the Etchemins territory as well as at the CLSC.

Services available for children 0 – 5 and their families: :

  • Prenatal meetings
  • Postnatal visits
  • Trauma prevention for young children
  • Infant car seat inspection
  • Vaccinations
  • Support for parenting skills

  • Growth and prevention in school In-school promotion and prevention programs
  • Prevention of sexual abuse

  • Sexual education
  • Developing self-esteem and dealing with bullying

Adolescents 12-17 and their familie :

A variety of preventative action programs are available, such as :

  • Regional program on suicide prevention
  • Prevention of eating disorders
  • Prevention of teenage pregnancies
  • Prevention of violence between partners
  • Prevention of alcoholism, smoking, and drug addiction
  • Conflict resolution
